I’ve been reading some stories if Pats HC Vrabel steps down, Kraft likely interested in drumroll, Mike Tomlin.
That would be interesting and there would be premium return if this comes to fruition.
Just rumors right now but one never knows.
Tomlin could find himself in a situation similar to 2007 here.

I don’t see Vrabel stepping down, he isn’t the first coach cheat on his wife.

I want Vrabel to step down and Tomlin hired, just for our benefits package.

Some here once said if he left the STEELERS he could have a job in 5 minutes…….. well here is could be.!!

Salute the nation

It's been 10 minutes.

This is the same Tomlin that had Patriots players (retired now, mostly) laughing at him for not changing ANYTHING about his defensive game plan for 10+ years? When they said that they don't even have to game plan for us anymore? Those Patriots and that Tomlin?

OK

Vrabel should step down, as DIC stated, he’s not the first coach to cheat on his wife but the pure stupidity of their actions out in the open. Does he think because they’re at an exclusive/private resort that no one will recognize either of them. Everyone carries a phone and there’s so many paparazzi out there, the big NFL meeting is coming up a few hours away, could of been a Steeler coach getting payback and surveying their game plan.

I certainly don't condone it, but I certainly don't care what these people do in public either. Is it an ethics thing? Is it really? Did Kraft have to sell the team for soliciting prostitution? How about Deflategate? Spygate? No? How about when the Patriots contracted with Brady's company TB12 while claiming to restructure his contracts to save the cheaters 60M; Did Kraft sell the team or was he even questioned about it? If you want blurred lines of ethics, how is Tom allowed to be a national broadcaster and partial owner of a team? Sure, he can't attend in-person meetings or practices but he's still privy to the details (intel) of the material.

But Vrabel should step down for holding hands and smooching on a reporter at a private resort? Seems like the NFL has let a lot of things slide or at the very most, handed down hand slaps for greater transgressions that tarnished the shield than what Vrabel did.

I miss living in a culture that lashed out against this type of bad stuff. Lives get ruined by it.

I want to see him coach with that coaching staff and not his yes men. I believe you would see a lot of dissent among those coaches. I would like to see the turmoil.
he will just let them do what they did, and what they do, like he did here for the first few yrs.

Agreed. I miss the day's when a man would come home from work and the wifey would make him a nice cocktail while he waited on dinner to be done.

Now a days, good luck getting a damn sandwich

What you may be missing is this is 2026 and the woman in question, Russini had to step down from her job. If the woman had to step down, why should the man in question go scott free? That isn't me saying that, but the climate we are in. If anything gets him, that will.

That is why I chose the ethics angle. As a reporter, could she remain impartial in her coverage of the NFL if she's banging one of the shield's Head Coaches? Probably not. At least in this case, journalism showed some spine and held a line on ethics. The NFL wont, and I provided examples of why I draw that conclusion. How do they force Vrable to step down when they have done jack **** to people who have done far worse?

That's why one is the owner and the other just an employee

It's appears that one's employer matters in these events: hers cared that she is a home wrecking who are, and his actually pays money, not a lot, but clearly values whoores.

Cheating is terrible and I certainly don't condone it, but unfortunately it happens all the time in today's society. The amount of ladies at work that had cheating boyfriends/ husbands is crazy. Russini resigned and I don't think was forced to step down. Vrabel and Rusinni have to answer to their families which is far more significant than their jobs. I doubt Vrabel steps down and I don't think he should have to unless every player / coach who has cheated is forced to resign.

The good ole days still exist…
My wifey is in the kitchen right now, with daughter #3 making Eggplant Parmesan, as a matter of fact..
😋
The secret is taking good care of the lady.. if yinz know what I mean?!
😉

Didn’t she resign? After telling everyone how the media is mistreating her and that it’s all lies? Then the next day more revealing evidence came out? She’s a liar and a cheat just like Vabrel. But she didn’t have to resign. She didn’t want the heat of her own making.

Can you imagine the precedent this would set? Getting fired for adultry? The private eye business would expand tenfold. The blackmails…. The setups….the reality tv shows…..

In Sudan, Iraq,Iran, they still publicly stone people to death on occasion for committing adultery.

Wow these stories get a life of their own. Stepping down to reconcile with his wife??? Doubt it. Sounds like it was going on for years. Stepping down because of bad publicity? More then half that league is not faithful to their spouse. Guaranteed.

That was very nice back in 1955 but today, I need the credit cards to go shopping.

6 years ago? Sounds like everyone except us on here knew this was going on.

And the way they acted in public looks to me like they didn't care.

Just another example of two people that "have the world by the balls and can't help but mess it up" thread.

Well in this case there was only one that had ahold of the balls but anyway......

it'd be rather hilarious if they forced him to step down, since they had Stefon Diggs on roster last season.

oh - and Tomlin has some skeletons of his own starting to come out of the closet. allegedly, of course.
