This is probably the worst big board I h done in 20+ years. Lot of personal stuff eating up a lot of my free time. Enjoy and if you have questions feel free to ask.
I think you have to print it horizontal and in legal. I’ll play around with it a little to see if I can get a printable version. I have been using a spreadsheet for years. I really should come up with a better format at this point. Maybe in 2027.how do i print this?
I knew someone was going to point this out. So I’m a PSU fan that really did not like Allar. I watched him manage games, protect the ball, play not to lose. Then I saw him at the combine and I was like GD where was this the last 3+ years. His footwork and throwing motion has always been very good but he actually improved during the workout. And the way he flung it with accuracy and zip was just elite. It was like watching prime time Roethlisberger or Stafford. So I started watching old film. Didn’t plan to because I literally watched all the games live but thought I’ll do my due diligence. This is my conclusion. Allar was held back by Franklin and coaching and system. Franklin was a great recruiter and talker but doesn’t know the X’s and O’s. He goes into games planning on relying on the defense and for the running game to move the ball and quarterback to not to turn the ball over. Problem is when they got behind they had no ability to come back. No plan and it was thrown on a kid to do something that’s not in the game plan or playbook. I think with a better coach and a little time to learn he could be the best quarterback drafted in the last 5 years. He has that type of upside.Always love this post.
Your QB track record is pretty good, what do you like about Allar to have him that high?
Another good catch. So this is a very deep wr class but no top end guy really. I just like Cooper more than anyone else. It’s more about the intangibles than anything else. I mean he has good speed, not elite. Good size, not great. But his route running, hands and ability to adjust to the ball in the air is just phenomenal. He imo is a big reason Mendoza is going #1.Cooper as WR1? Do you think he can be a good WR1 for a team? What separates him from the others? I'm a fan, so would love your breakdown.
Farmer has elite mobility and doesn’t try to just block but destroy the guy. Just love his nastiness. He can block speed and power. He gets to the second level in run blocking. Doesn’t stop until the whistle.Farmer and Ioane stand out given the consensus. Farmer is a guy I often draft in the 3rd/4th, what do you see to have him as OG1 and Ioane further down the draft board?
How early do you take Allar? I really think the Steelers want to come away with a big-armed QB from this draft. Whether they are a hit or miss, it at least is a swing with another chance next year.I knew someone was going to point this out. So I’m a PSU fan that really did not like Allar. I like Ioane but not sure about the hype. He whiffs on too many blocks imo. He also drops his head more than I like. I think he’s a year one starter and probably has a long NFL career. I just feel Farmer could be a HOF guard.
id just like to have it on draft night to be able to see whats going on,, etc.I think you have to print it horizontal and in legal. Given Farmer has lower ratings, hopefully other teams disagree with your rank so we can get him later. There are very talented guards in the middle rounds.
I dont disagree, but the only way Rodgers is not on this roster is if he retires or gets a better offer in terms of a team which I doubt.imo skip rodgers, draft one or 2 qb's and run with rudolph et all. See wehre we land. Let the qb's fight it out in camp and in season via their performance.
My gawd where have we seen that show before?Franklin was a great recruiter and talker but doesn’t know the X’s and O’s. If they like Howard as much as they've been saying, he should be gone sometime after the draft or relegated to QB3 within the first few days of training camp.If they dont spend a third to move up in the first or second I dont hate idea of taking a QB then whoever might be the flavor. However, I have a hard time picturing the Roster. Are you going to drop Rudy if you bring Rodgers back? Hes got a good contract and can fill in for week or two. If you dont cut Rudy it means Howard or the third round is gone.
Should and will. Two very different things. If they like Howard as much as they've been saying they dont draft a QB. If he plays well in Camp they promote him to second and Rudy is third. If they like Howard as much as they've been saying, he should be gone sometime after the draft or relegated to QB3 within the first few days of training camp.
IMO if Steelers bring Rodgers back Rudy should be gone. Howard has been in the NFL for a year now. Time for him to become the starter if Rodgers doesn't come back or the number 2 if Rodgers comes back, with a 2026 draft pick at number 3 and challenging for number 2.If they dont spend a third to move up in the first or second I dont hate idea of taking a QB then whoever might be the flavor. one good day in shorts doen't out do the meh seasons from allar
Agreed. If Rodgers gets hurt, we don't know if Howard can take us to the next level, but we know that Rudy can't. I was hoping he could be the heir apparent to Ben, but he is just a guy. I would rather sink or swim with Howard to see what we have.IMO if Steelers bring Rodgers back Rudy should be gone. Howard has been in the NFL for a year now.
