Iran

Such a relief to have a sane and competent President in charge of the war in Iran. Surely, this will end well.

Long term, what I'd like to see in Iran? The same I'd like to see in every country, a free, peaceful, flourishing nation. In Iran specifically, a government based on a Constitutional representative democracy, an eradication of the extremist Muslim fanatics who took over this proud Persian nation, one of the world's oldest civilizations dating back to 4000 BCE. I'd like to see a return to pre-1979 Iran, that allowed its people, culture, and society to flourish and live in peace with its neighbors.

Again, all of this is a pipe dream. We can't even ensure safe passage in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran's regime, military, and security forces, though depleted, remain intact, and continue to threaten Israel, Gulf neighbors, and their own citizens. All this after Hegseth and Trump have been pounding their chests for weeks how they've "won" this war.

You’re confusing corruption and incompetence. The reason Trump started the war is because he’s corrupted. The administrations handling of the war, and most everything else, is incompetent.

We are not at war. We are certainly not at war with Iran.
Trump is taking out a hostile regime that has been in power way way to long.

How can one argue he's not, given the present tense used? Trump is in fact taking out their hostile regime. The leadership has been decimated 3, 4, 5 levels deep. The hostile regime leadership has been decapitated 3 times over.

Their military's been obliterated, and Iran has used most of their stockpile of missiles.

Trump is TAKING out a hostile regime. His statement is 100% factually correct.

Oh boy. How does present tense become past tense without putting troops on Iranian soil? Trump wants to negotiate with the current regime, don’t count your regime change chickens before they’re hatched.

and how do you intend for any of this to happen? through negotiations? if so, Trump's opened a line of communication with them. Through force? well, we're kicking the absolute **** out of them.

I'm not predicting anything. I said what Blitz said was accurate. The USA is currently taking out a hostile regime.

You can't state otherwise. That is the current motion.
 
Its turning out to be more difficult than originally thought. I don't want boots on the ground but they are being sent. Reports claim u.s. forces are preparing for chemical weapons attack. I hope nobody uses chemical weapons.

If there is no regime change, and it doesn't even really sound like that's one of our goals, this will ultimately become a huge cluster. I can't imagine Israel agreeing to leave the same crazy ******** in charge, but just more pissed off than ever.

This is the stupidest idea the left keeps repeating. Distraction from what exactly? The “files” were in the hands of Dems for four years. Not a single victim has come forward to credibly accuse Trump. Not a shred of evidence of any wrongdoing on Trump’s part in connection with it, in fact actual evidence that he found Epstein repugnant and wanted him investigated. You really believe there is evidence of pedophilia that will be produced, and the Iran war will “distract” people from that? Idiocy. The reality is nothing came of them with regards to Trump and the left is using this “he’s distracting from the Epstein files” in a desperate attempt to keep connecting him to them. It’s ludicrous.

Regime change should be the goal but I don’t want to see hundreds or thousands of Americans die to achieve it. I was hoping there was a serious, well thought out plan not involving ground troops but I’m growing more and more concerned that there isn’t.
