I wanted to draft this kid three years ago!
That would be stellar! Goona be expensive though.

You really really can not believe Poni’s crap.
I'd go draft instead. Round one. Cheap for 4-5 years.
WRs are relatively easy to find in R1. With tier 1 WRs costing about $30-35M and going up on their second contract, my position is to keep drafting a WR in rounds 1-2 at least every other year. From a cost/benefit standpoint it's the wisest move for roster construction. Even if you only keep them 3 years. For 3, then he'd want a new deal, if he's not a bust. Get a young, proven guy, then trade up for Downs/Styles/Reese/etc.

Link doesnt work for me... which recycled Bum are we magically turning into a star this week? Lol
Ugh... i mean if they didnt want too much, I guess.. guy had a great year 1 partially because he was their only option and they forced him a lot of stuff... year 2 the league adjusted to his strengths and he didnt adjust back... those kind of guys are hit or miss on course correcting.. and if they are really looking to trade him, its cause they dont think he will and want to sell high while that rookie year is fresh...Brian Thomas Jr. from the jaguars.
Salute the nation

$$$$$ With the way college ball is being developed there are a dozen WRs every year who could be your #1. Also, with the prevalence of 7on 7, WRs are only getting better. There's a reason its the deepest position in the draft every year. There is absolutely no reason to make a big trade for one when the draft offers so much more every year.WRs are relatively easy to find in R1. Jeez...didn't realize his second season was so pedestrian...not so happy now lol.Ugh... i mean if they didnt want too much, I guess.. guy had a great year 1 partially because he was their only option and they forced him a lot of stuff... year 2 the league adjusted to his strengths and he didnt adjust back... those kind of guys are hit or miss on course correcting.. and if they are really looking to trade him, its cause they dont think he will and want to sell high while that rookie year is fresh...
He will be available the start of the new season.what does this do to the long expected Aiyuk deal?
If its going to be expensive why not just draft one. In fact draft two in those top five. One will be at least as good for sure. You might even get two just as good. That would be stellar! Goona be expensive though.
The ankle and wrist problems started in week 8. His numbers were pretty crappy up till then already. His best game all season was 8 grabs for 90 yards and a Td... one of only two he scored last season...Brian Thomas in my opinion would be a nice addition to the wide receiver room.
Your concerns about last year are 90% related to his ankle injury suffered and some adjustments in the Jacksonville offense when they started using Hunter and Washington more in the passing game.
As a reminder to all:
In 2024 as a rookie , he set a franchise rookie record with 1,282 yards receiving -- which was third in the NFL -- and had 10 touchdown catches.!!
Also, in my opinion, the only wide receiver that I would want to take at 21 is lemon out of USC. And I believe he will be gone before we get to our first round selection.
Thomas is a NFL proven talent and is still only 23 years old! This kid could be a big time contributor for the next several years for us and really help open up the passing game. The other good news is, I believe we can acquire him without giving up too much in return.
Jacksonvilles wide receiving room is overcrowded and no doubt they would be open to ongoing discussions.
Steelers can’t afford on banking or depending on a rookie wide receiver to supplement DK and get our passing game into the 21st century.
btw… even with this trade proposal I still have us taking a wide receiver in the third and fourth this year.. which would be Jacoby Lane out of USC in the third and Bell a wide receiver out of Connecticut the fourth…
