McDermott gone ... supposedly

What makes Buffalo or Baltimore more attractive???

Both have aging QBs, who haven't delivered when it matters.

Both have RB1s with worn tires.

Both have owners who have far less patience than the Rooney's.

Yeah. That's attractive...
Holy man ..........you have become a ........glass is empty man ....... stop drinking all the spirits out of the glasses ........sheesh

Any interest in a former Bills coach in the Black & gold?
On average he won one more playoff game per year than Shades, and with a better QB.

I would think having a MVP QB like Josh or Lamar would be rather attractive compared to Mason Rudolph and a 6th rounder that’s never played a snap in the NFL,wouldn’t you ? It could be years before we have an MVP caliber QB. Steelers are also the oldest team in the League.

Yep. That is why I did not mention McDermott as a potential hire for the Steelers and why McCarthy makes zero sense. The team is in a rebuild. Some good parts (Herbig, Warren, Fautanu, McCormick, Frazier, Washington, Harmon, JPJ, maybe Metcalf in the right situation) but no known QB, still work to be done rebuilding the defensive line, WR depth non-existent. This is not a playoff team 2026 and Tomlin knew that.

The new hire will have to snag top-level OC and DC, then add to the DL, secondary, ILB, WR, and a legit QB if Howard is not the one. That's a lot and not a situation where I want a "win now" guy who will replicate Tomlin's failures.

The GM is the guy who needs to be fired. McDermott got the max out of that roster. It's a 6 win roster with Josh Allen pulling them up.

Bills should have won the SB this year. By midseason, it was obvious that the Chiefs and Ravens were non factors. This was their best chance to win ever and they did almost nothing to go for it this year. Could have added another WR and some DBs, maybe another pass rusher but they didn't.

outside of Allen Buffalo is lacking skill players. Allen can also be really bad. He can throw 2 or 3 ints and 4 TDs in the same game. I'm not sure if it is really a coaching issue there or not. Bottom line is they were not getting it done and was time for a change

Exactly... the McCarthy option baffles me.
Well, one thing to remember is if they are bringing a really young head coach in, they will want a vet staff with him... so expect someone to be brought in as an assistant head coach.. maybe a guy like McCarthy as Oc/assitant hc, or hiring Munchak away from the Rams as Olc/ asst Hc...

That or they are just trying to lure Rodgers back for a season🤦🏻‍♂️

that is what she said .......... oh you said cup ....... sorry my bad

I think been as speaking Athletec Supporterganese.!

Both are 29 and in probably their prime years..... Since Ben retired we all were told that nothing was Tomlin's fault because he didn't have a franchise QB. Well these 2 teams do have one. That is what makes it attractive.

I don’t think anyone is dumb enough to think we are going to be a playoff contender next season.
Have you not seen Rudy cook?

I'm kinda surprised that McDermott got canned, but also maybe not that surprised, if that even makes sense. Compared to us they've had a ton of recent playoff success. At this point, I think Josh Allen probably has some kind of mental complex associated with getting over the hump. I wonder what Bills' fans are saying.
