Twofer this week.
If we beat the Browns, we effectively end their season.
They would be 1-5, which is typically a near insurmountable deficit, but more importantly, they would be 0-3 in the division and 0-3 in the AFC... If the Ravens dont rebound and we dont tighten up the D, the Browns schedule is weak in the back half, but we would be 3.5 games up on them with 11 left and the inside track to tiebreakers. If we split our 12 remaing games if we end up beating them, we finish 10-7. They would likely have to go 10-1down the stretch to beat that, and a wild card slot is highly unlikely.

So we probably get their best shot this week. They have a really good defense and a wildcard at QB.

The second game gets the woeful Bangedupgals.
Our secondary hasnt done well this year. Our defense is actually quite bad. The Bengals have two elite wrs that can give us fits...

Dallas has nudged Baltimore out as the worse yardage Defense this season, but Cinci and our D arent far behind... its been horrific. The AFC north DSchemes have been completely destroyed this year...

But Both of these teams have been bad on O... so our high priced D should give the team a refund if either puts up a lot of points on the scoreboard

Browns should be a layup for the simple reason is that we’re good coming off of a bye and they’re returning from London. If this game comes down to one drive at the end, we’re totally smoke and mirrors.

Cincy should be, too, but Tomlin is 2-9 on the road on Thursday Night, 0-6 in the division.

We’ll figure out a way to go 1-1.

DIC will have to work double time to make the prediction threads.

All ready working double time to make enough $$$$coin$$$$ to pay you off…….!!!

That's what she said

Yeah, Tomlin has done better lately on Thursday nights, but i feel like his record the week after a Thirsday night game is so good is because he basically punts on TNF..

Thats especially true of division games... we will just break out whatever we used last time on them most of the time

It was nice to see all three division opponents lose again last weekend. The Steelers are in great position to run away with the AFC North...will they?

Two classic trap game specials incoming against on paper inferior opponents. These are the games we find a way to struggle with so many times.

I worry about Ramsey’s absence making our defense even more predictable and vanilla

Here’s hoping Rodgers influence sharpens the focus of everyone

Things look very good right now with the state of the AFC North but I will add, proceed with caution.
We’ve been down this path multiple times as recently as last season when a Steelers team led by Mike Tomlin were 9-2 after eleven games. Things looked great… Team had a decent lead in the division, had already beat the Ravens once, Russ Wilson playing well. Everyone was confident and it looked like good things were on the horizon.
Then Tomlin led his squad to lose 5 out of its final 6 games starting with a horrible loss in Cleveland against a bad Browns team led by Crab Legs Winston at QB.
Lost the division to the surging Ravens and once again got humiliated in the first round of the playoffs against those same Ravens.
All I’m saying is proceed with caution with this team and keep in mind that Captain Obvious is running the show. Just sayin’

no lead is ever secure when Tomlin is in charge

Through the years, i cannot count how many times we were served the division on a golden platter and frittered it away with utter stupidity.

Youd do the math at midseason and uoud be like, well as long as we dont drop one of these supe winnable games we have like an 85% chance at the division... tgen we lose to a couple scrubs and finish a half game back

^^^^THIS ^^^^

I’m in this boat too, until proven that they can handle the seemingly given, I’ll remain cautious in my following.

Also these should be both given wins, but for somew reason those never seem to happen. I wouldn’t write off either team’s defense as they will give us problems (helmet thrower and Henrickson), plus coaching)

We c an only watch and hope our fears are not played in……………

We will win one and lose one. No. Let me take it back. Flacco will be playing for Cincinnati. What's his record vs tomlin?

Flacco is 11-11 against Tomlin. Has something to prove. Wind at his back.

Fully agree, especially with Rodgers comment. His first 2 big division games in the AFC North back to back, short week.
Aaron has done well so far, this is such a big 2 games to install confidence for the season ahead. You know Cleveland is going to go after him nonstop. Our OLine is going to make or break us.

I like this.

But...

Methinks with the return of Highsmith AND JPJ - we should be ok, this week, barring any other "I" word.

DON'T SAY THE WORD!!!
