Lazard is a WR3 if that. He shouldn't cost more than a 6th-round pick unless they overpay. I'd much rather have someone who is closer to a WR2 than a WR4.
Where did you hear the Steelers offered 10M?.
The original number bantered was 10. That's double. I agree this aint getting Tomlin out. But its a huge step. Fonzie is jumping the shark here.
Puts us back to square one.
We weren’t going to no Super Bowl. I wanted a washed up Ben to retire at least a year before he did so that we could begin the process of finding our next quarterback.
I can feel it again. Now we have another washed up quarterback with a big ego who will hang around a year or two and we will have nothing to show for it.
Seems more like they want to.Terrible move long run. But in the short term unsurprising. They are putting up a Facade. They kinda have to.
This feels like a stupid move, IMO. Not liking this.
That being said, as soon as that ink is on the contract, GO ROGERS!
[/QUOTEwxactlt how I feel. Don't want it. Didn't want it but will cheer him on
Jets receivers also led the league it dropped passes. On the bright side:
Looking at Rodgers' numbers from 2024, over his last 10 games: 210-328 for 2234 yards, 18 TDs and 4 INTs, for a 97 passer rating. They're actually pretty good, and they include an absolutely horrific game in week 17 at Buffalo where he threw for only 112 yards with 2 picks.
It's not like Rodgers fell off a cliff later in the season due to his age, or his health, etc. In six of those ten games, he had a rating of 104 or better. He played very well most of the time, while surrounded by a shltty team.
I've started maybe three threads since I joined here and he merged them into another thread faster tham Tomlin pops the Champagne after the 9th win.Coolie would have merged this thread with that thread within 30 seconds if I had posted it.
I’m telling you, that’s Coolie’s way of saying he likes you.I've started maybe three threads since I joined here and he merged them into another thread faster tham Tomlin pops the Champagne after the 9th win.
The Mike Vick addition looks marvelous in comparison.Well three things here…. Between Rodgers advanced age and declining skills, holes in this current roster, and Tomlin’s interference and decision making, what could go wrong?
As a life long Steeler fan I hope it all comes together and works out but I’ve set my expectations rather low.
Too bad that doesn’t hold up with your age. He will be 42 in DecemberRodgers sat behind FAVRE for 3 years...He is really only 38 years old in Football years
"Hold up?" I'm confused.Too bad that doesn’t hold up with your age. He will be 42 in December
Well I'm sure you'll be one of the first ones to say how glad you are that you were wrong if he plays well. There's that. That’s all there is.
If I can think of something positive about Rodger's signing I’ll be sure to post it.
8 and 1 that crumbled to 9 and 8 would not surprise me at all.I'm gonna love revisiting this thread when the Steelers are 8-1 and Rodgers is cooking.
About time you showed up... the thread Gestapo has final shown up to set everyone straight. Better get to work Comrade BBB.Trying to keep the mood positive.....I want him to have an influence over the WR/other targets room. Why not? I am not saying let him run the show, but show him who could be a possibility. We know if he likes them, he will throw to them, and we know he is only here for 1 year. You know, if people want to ***** about him, or Mr. T, Mr. R......there are a lot of other threads available for that. It opens the door to positive, forward thinking...
He will likely get hurt early in the season. They will go at him hard.
I don't think he has much effectiveness left.
At his advanced age I doubt he wants to teach any qb or wr anything. He wants a paycheck. That's all.
Lloyd, sorry. I worded that poorly. What I meant was eventhough AR waited 3 years at the start of his career while Brett Favre played that doesn’t help you now with your age. You are still 41 soon to be 42 NOT 38( 41-38) as the one poster seemed to imply."Hold up?" I'm confused.
