I can make it worse, we are the only team in the division to not with a playoff game this decade, the Browns have won a playoff game in Pittsburgh more recently than the Steelers.

Im not sure the Steelers ever had lost a playoff game to a division rival before Tomlin... and had it not been for some really dipshit stupidity at the end of that Bengals game, he would have lost to all 3

I think you're right, I'm not sure about the 70's, pretty sure we beat Houston in one of those years in the playoffs, but we beat Houston in 89, Browns in 94, Ravens in 01, Browns in 02, Bengals in 05.
 
Tomlin has officially lost the locker room when players from the Captain down (Heyward) to the UDFA Bishop, Wilson etc are ok to openly question the decision making of Tomlin with the reaction to the Pickens trade. It's not only the media and the fans left scratching our heads.

And in their current formation they won’t even be competitive by halftime in a playoff game vs a divisional rival.

That’s a helluva fall off as the fat cats lay on their backs waiting for their fat belly to be pet, basking in their former glory.

Really hard to watch players like Watt and Heyward have largely irrelevant careers, at least they made bank. And Heyward won a WPMOY so there’s that big win!

You aren't even kidding there. Clown-lin is considered trash by anyone paying attention - media or fans.

How Heyward is listened to like some authority on the Steelers is beyond me. He is no authority to the team I used to love. Come playoff time, all they do is lay down. There isn't even any fight left in the team. Allowing on average more than 40 points a playoff game really showcases that reality.

Aye Sask, but SF would eat $30 mil of dead money as that’s the guaranteed $ SF paid. It would kill their cap situation, which they are still not in good shape. Purdy still has to be paid.

C’mon, might as well work for Fillaponni if you are going to throw this pure speculation at the wall. TDS goes both ways.

Williams played in 9 games but was only given 13 targets. That’s a QB decision, not the coordinator. Williams caught 9 of those 13 targets @ 14 yard avg. Williams non-usage was a Russ decision, not Art. Plus, blocking acumen? Please, GP had the worse blocking skills of all the WRs in the squad. At least CAIII tried when attempting,

Preston Smith played in 8 games with 130+ snaps (or 30% of those 8 games). Two sacks and 3 TFL were accounted for, but his use was mainly for setting the edge as a 3/4 OLB while as TJ and Smitty’s back up. Herbig was the primary back up pass rusher, but he wasn’t stout enough against the run. That’s why Omar and Tomlin got Smith who had requested a trade from GB since they switched to the 4/3 alignment much to his disliking on a contract year
