Well, it appears, quite fortuitously, that the 2026 Monsters of Rock Cruise (MORC) (which I attend almost every year) is going to be 12-17 April. Given that means milder weather in the Northern half of the United States than February-March, when MORC usually takes place, I was thinking of visiting Steelers country in late April.

Have just realised the 2026 NFL draft will be on 23-25 April in Pittsburgh. The timing just gets better. Given I will never actually see a Steelers game live, I'm thinking attending the draft in Pittsburgh might be the next best thing.

I'm trying to get an idea of cost of attending the draft. For 2025 draft all packages apart from Day 3 are sold out so Day 3 is the only ticket I can see 2025 prices for. Anybody got any idea what prices were for all rounds ticket (with or without accomodation) for 2025 or for the Day 1 only ticket? Main interests for me are seeing some Steelers Draft picks (I would actually prefer seeing multiple Steelers picks in later rounds than just a single day 1 pick) and a reserved seat. I'm NOT looking for the super expensive stuff like front row recliner seats, private brunch, private meet and greets etc so not interested in any Deluxe or Elite packages. I'd like to do a Stadium tour but figure it will be cheaper to it independently of the draft than get a higher level draft ticket just for the tour.

PS I am aware there is free entry, but I would like to have some comfort for at least one day, especially as I will only be about a week removed from a 5 day, 14-15 hours of music a day, floating rock festival.

As this is the Steelers Football Forum I'm looking for draft related info here.

I'll be posting a more general assistance request in the concession stand conversation to discuss things like best areas to stay, accomodation options, other stuff to do in and around Pittsburgh etc.

Just stay at @Steelerfan81 Inn. He has a shed with running water and a shovel for you to dig your own **** hole.

Well Aussie, I decided to take a look at what the hotels are charging during the weekend of the draft. Checked hotel.com, there is not one room available in the downtown area nor surrounding suburbs. Either they’re blocking them and awaiting to see what competitors will be listing or they’re all blocked by NFL teams, charter groups and people who booked as soon as the location and date was announced. Local apartments, etc that are listed on the same site are marked up so high it’s comical, 500 % mark up then some. You’ll need to eat fast food or stand in long lines at the NFL “experience” at Point State Park or vicinity of the draft just to get a bite to eat, all the restaurants in the downtown area will be booked.

Good luck grabbing an Uber etc. I’m a big supporter of anyone looking to visit Pittsburgh, it really has allot to offer but I have a feeling this may not be the time to do it. I’m guessing some rooms will open up, NFL teams and companies organizing package deals will probably release some rooms after determining how much they need. Sorry about the downer post.

If I were you Aussie, I would look to attend a game in Sept or October and experience Pittsburgh at its finest in the autumn months. Game day is an awesome experience and you can go to the Terrible Tailgate and party with diehard fans like yourself. I mean, you have to experience renegade in person just once. It'll give you chills.

I plan on going to the draft as well, but my son lives in Pittsburgh, so hotel and restaurant access isn't an issue for us. Downtown is going to be insanely busy.

I went to the draft two years in a row in Chicago and never was charged.
I believe I recently read something to that effect. It’s free but I’m not sure how the seats within the immediate vicinity of the stage are accessed. You always see small groups of fans from each team situated in the first sections, I’m sure those are restricted and given out by teams to long time high end seat season ticket holders, maybe a lottery within that group or to people within the organization.

Makes literally no sense to me. I guess if it's indoors you have to have some kind of ticketing for seats. Where there is ticketing there is a revenue stream. I watch the about 10 picks before Steelers to see how it's shaking out. But not a damn chance I'd pay for them to read a guys name.

Hotels are likely blocked off at this point for 2026 for Draft weekend. They do this for all home games also. My advice would be to find a room in Wexford, Monreoville, or Cranberry. All about 15 mins out of Pittsburgh.

We will be having a Terrible Tailgate for Day 1.

The rooms in Wexford etc are also blocked off.

They are all blocked for all reservations more than a year out right now.

I have access using points on my Steelers NFL Visa to various different activities including sitting at the draft table and writing the picks on the cards or announcing a a later round pick. For less points you get access to the backstage and or hospitality room. I am trying to build some points. You could see my ugly *** announcing a pick.

Yes I knew it was in the Burgh. Go with Mason this year and I hope we go 4-13. Get a top 5 pick and get a QB. Only 1 team is happy at the end. We are now where close to that last team standing. 9-8 is kissing your sister.

" no where close"

Hmmmmm... maybe we can plan a gathering???

Most hotels only book out 12 months in advance.

The only wish I have is to hear and see the Commish say …
With their first pick in the 2026 NFL Draft..
The Pittsburgh Steelers select Arch Manning Jr .,
Then the young man enters stage right in front of a huge throng of Terrible Towel waving Yinzers!

Is that too much for a guy to ask?

Here is the info from the NFL for Green Bay, so it'll be similar in Pittsburgh.

NFL experience will be at Point State Park and the draft stage outside of the stadium

Premium seats seem quite expensive and a lot are sold out for the draft in Green Bay. Looking at the prices, they seem to range between $650-$1500.
