I didn't see a thread on this. If I missed it, please merge this with it.

Here are the top DB 40 times.

There was an article in the PPG the other day about Barron and I agree that he would make a lot of sense at 1.21.

My hope is the Steelers sign Fields (or another realistic QB), a DL, a WR, a CB, and an RB in free agency. They have the money to spend for players who will contribute significantly. Then, they can head into the draft while still looking to fill the severely depleted DL and WR rooms. On paper, that would be a good offseason in my book.

Fields will get us where we are used to: loss in week 1 of playoffs, if we are lucky.

Probably with the same live in your fears approach by Tomlin. Fields still is probably the best option out there. If a QB slides in the draft, they may snag one in the 3rd or 4th round. I hope nothing earlier than that since any QB would be a project.

Running back times. I'm not sure if this is all of them as I figured there would be a lot more sub 4.5 and even sub 4.4 times. I've been mocking Tuten to the Steelers quite a bit. He is built like Fast Willie and his time is a tad shy of Fast Willie. Tuten does have fumbling issues. I'm not real sure how successful RB's are in correcting those issues.

Milroe must have been using some kind of torture device to stretch that hand out.

We have one of those torture devices. We like to use it in the heat of battle.

We just recently upgraded our model it is called the Tomlin 2025.

Basically the same model as seasons past but yearly they just upgrade the voltage. A clever marketing scheme.

Specs state that it zaps you with an intense jolt similar to a high powered stun gun while simultaneously kicking you in your arse.

The gift that keeps on giving.

Not the best presentation of this but here are all the WR's who ran and had a 4.5 or better. I'm typically only mocking guys with better than a 4.5 this year. Emeka Egbuka didn't participate so we have to wait until his pro day to see what he does. I believe he ran below a 4.5 in high school so he may be closer to a 4.4 time which would be great with his route running - assuming the Steelers end up picking him.

There could always be a Dave Krieg out there.

IMO, we should snag either a DL or DB in the first. I'd then target Jaxson Dart in the second, pending who slides. But, we could wind up with a nice decision of Kelvin Banks or Donovan Jackson at 1.21. Which could amplify our draft. I'd more than happily select either and kick Fautanu inside at LG. IMO, that might be our best scenario. Provide a SOLID ol with exceptional talent to overcome our absolutely horrific OL coaching and we might be onto something.

Obviously a WR with size AND speed would be needed, and I believe Thornton could be had mid-round - while Savion Williams might need to be snagged by R3. He's my sleeper pick for us, but with that 4.48....

I remember when Kordell was driving everyone crazy with his 4.5 speed....

If Savion slides into the third, we better grab him. I think he sneaks his way into the second. With that size and speed, plus the versatility that he displayed in college, I could see KC, Wash, GB, SD, Buf, or Jax taking him. Buf would be the most logical, with the need for playmakers on the outside (Cooper didn't quite pan out for them), and two 2nd round picks.

yeah, but Korky was a QB with WR versatility. Williams is a WR.

Higgins from Iowa State might even be the "same guy" since they're almost the same size.

Close, yeah. Higgins not quite as big, but a hair taller. Same speed. I think Williams is just more versatile. I like a lot more WR in this class than most people do, and think it's deeper than people give it credit for. I think there is potential for some sleepers to surprise people.
