Have you heard……. PITTSBURGH @ Cleveland game thread……………..

I don't think it matters if canaduh gets canned, whoever they promote from within because that's exactly what will happen, will run the exact same offense because it's what Tomlin wants
The thing is even within the scheme the flow of the play calls could dramatically improve the offense.

As we continue to debate whether Lenny Pickett was a wise 1st round draft pick or not ...

His struggle to read defenses and coverages may be on him or it may be on the coaching staff that cannot aid his development. We have no way of knowing which one, or both, of those are having the most impact. We just see the inability to do so.

But the accuracy issues are hard to put on the coaching staff. He regularly lacks the ability to put the ball where it would appear that he wants to put the ball. He's the only one making the throw.

As for the draft pick value, what other draft saw the first QB off the board at the 20th pick? I think that means that 19 other franchises did not see him as a franchise QB. Most years we see the top quarterbacks off the board well within the top 10 picks. I think he was likely viewed as a Round 2-3 talent (by all teams) but taken earlier than warranted because: 1) the Steelers failed to address the position until Ben retired; and 2) the hometown connection.

Fair enough sir

Although this is a full calendar year as a started for Pickett, he bears accountability for his play and his clock should be ticking, but with this owner and head coach it probably hasn’t even started

I’d love to believe there’s a chance Canaduh gets canned in season but I think we all know better by now
Deuce doesn’t pay people not to work and Shades doesn’t like to hire new people.
“But Ron, do you the owner would risk a few wins and maybe a playoff win or two to save a crummy $1.5 million on an assistant coach?”
Yes. Absolutely he would.

A play action would have been nice there on 2nd down

I can't even watch these games anymore. All I have from the Steeler team are memories.

How often do teams other than the Steelers go 3 and out with 2 completed passes and no sacks or penalties?

Damn it. Why do they telegraph those swing passes. So frustrating. They are a great weapon but not when you make is so easy to diagnose. For ***** sake disguise your calls. Have him look like he is going to block before going out for the pass.

Warren looks unstoppable all game, busts a TD run, and we get all Harris the very next series, because Tomlin

I'm at that stage where I don't even want moderate success for our offense this season.

Goal 1 - FIRE MATT CANADA!

His accuracy improves as the game progresses and they have to make plays. I seriously think it boils down to fear of turnovers.
